too much homework

i am having a very hermioneish frazzled sort of moment. i can not find my time turner either. so i am in a few swaps and they are all harry potter related :0). its like a sickness. hahaha. i am in this swap and i have everything done plus some for my spoilee, except for the socks i did decide to take them out and start over after all but i am part way through my first one (again). i do love the way the yarn is knitting up. i am doing the HSKS6 too. i am very excited about it and they are really active over there with the chatting and the games. they also have a dueling club that sounds like fun. i might have to pass on that though because i would hate to take on too much and be all stressed out. i feel like if you are hating making something because you are too busy or whatever then those vibes get in your project. if you make something you should make it with love in your heart and that gets in your project too (ugh, my hippie muggle parents DID rub off on me. sheesh). anyhow i am also in a transfiguration swap. where you take an altoids tin and transfigure it into something else. can you say "fereverto"? i have a pretty good idea for that one but havent started it either and its due by the end of the month. plus i am moving back to california from colorado by the end of the month. how do you guys keep track of all your swaps and due dates for swaps and challenges and the like? just curious. i am just feeling like i am forgetting something. i dont want to let anyone down. i like to be a great swap partner and make something really nice you know. i dont feel like i am overbooked for the swaps (i have done more than this and had no prob at all) i think it might just be the moving. can someone please make me a claming draught? *wrings hands*

Hey, Pren - try getting one of those LARGE calendars with BIG boxes on 'em - I think they are mostly desk calendars but you could come up with some way to hang one, I'm sure. Then mark your various diseases, er, swaps, etc., on your calendar - due date, what it is, etc. Maybe use different color inks if more than one is due at the same time?

I was gonna participate in the Altoids swap over on HPC but didn't find an empty box until the day after sign ups were closed. Of course. Oh, well.

Anyhow, maybe the calendar idea will help you keep track of what you are doing, when, where and for who ::grins::

Pren you can also make a chart in MSWord with columns for each swap and what is needed, then X them out as you finish each part ... have one spot for deadline and put the date in that ... you can take the table and copy it into your imagery program and make it into a background for your computer, so that you can keep an eye on things every day.

I'm only in this swap so that's not an issue. (And not to brag, but my socks are done, hee hee.)

I could really use a calming potion and a time-turner though. Mostly the latter. Though perhaps more of the former if my 3-1/2 year old spends another day jumping around the house instead of walking and yelling instead of talking all day long.

Where in Colorado are you moving to? I'm near Denver. :)

oh i am moving away from Colorado and to California. i am in telluride right now. i am glad you knew that was supposed to say calming and not claiming draught like i typed. hahaha

I use the calendar in gmail and have it text message me reminders like the shipping deadline a few days in advance. You can set up the text message reminders in the setting link then mobile options follow the directions then when you make an event you can chose txt message for your notification (you can also use email and popup but that only workds if you are logged into your gmail account) and voila instant reminder I also use this for my appointments and such. Hope this helps you!
