Meez Me

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Wisteria Lovegood, Ravenclaw Prefect. I've put on my favorite purple dress to welcome everyone to the Ravenclaw Common Room, which has been beautifully transformed for the occasion. Now, please, no swinging from the chandelier. (It is great fun to put on your newest pair of knit socks and slide across these polished floors though.)

Knitting in the Dungeons

So like the Headmistress I've had my Meez for a while too here she is in her knitting glory! I haven't had my bottom of my hair tinted green before well my peacock blue did actually fade to a green but that was a long time ago. Think I might grow out my hair a bit again and do this for the Half Blood Prince when it comes out in July (meh, still not happy about the delay!) You migh not be able to notice my scarf is a snake!

One of our Ravenclaw students has fallen and broke her wrist :( She is totally bummed about! Her and her pal have made an agreement for her to stay in the swap make sure that you go and give Pernelle Auckerly some happy and big cyber hugs!!! :) She might not be able to type back it takes her a while to do the one finger pickin!!

not that kinda buttons! ok so my house prefect said that if we put the HSS4 button on our blog we get house points for it. i tried clicking them and clicking the thing that says "buttons" but how do i download that picture? sorry i learn as i go with all this computer stuff. thanks to anybody that can help me.

here the pic is down at the bottom. so Nelle if you want to be surprized dont go to my blog. although i DID put a buffer zone in the post so if you happen over there you should see it comming and be able to avert your little peepers, but if you go there the temptation might be too great and you will have to peek. but if you want to see it before its socks thats ok too. :0)

aaaaaaaaand i made you the bestest thing EVER today. neener neener neener! im not tell you what it is but i liked it so much they are now on the christmas sweatshop list for all my friends. (christmas sweatshop- named by the hubby due to my over confidence in thinking i can make every person i have ever met a hand made gift and the resulting lack of sleep and tears that follow when i am neck deep in craft supplies with one week left till christmas ordering him to "punch those holes in a straighter line! *whip crack*)

Owl Troubles

I'm still awaiting my partner's yarn to start her socks. All the goodies and extras I ordered are here and there is just one more crafty thing besides the socks that I need to complete. What is a Hogwarts Sock Swap package without the socks!! I believe that the owl may have been owlnaped! I'm crossing my fingers that it will be here soon.

Socks...socks...socks

I swear I am up to my ears in sock yarn! I keep finding more and more and more that I like. Fortunately I can use a lot of nice warm socks in the cold climate where I live and the drafting rooms I often find myself in. Still, trying to find the time to knit all those socks using all that wonderful sock yarn is the issue. Or, maybe the fact that I keep looking and buying more could be contributing to the problem. What do you think?

I have started the socks for my partner so many times that she could have a couple pairs by now! I start and then decide I don't like the pattern, so I change patterns only to find I don't like that yarn for that pattern, so I change yarns only to decide I don't really like the color of the yarn so I find a different color. Talk about indecision! But I think I've finally settled on a pattern, a yarn, and a colorway!

I'm amazed at those already done. If I could stick to just one project, I'd probably be too, but some baby hats and knitted toys got in the way. Never fear: I've downloaded some new podcasts tonight and will get right back to work on those socks.

So, I am sitting here working on my pal's socks when I realized that I had totally forgotten to post here last week. I blame it on the wool fumes. Or the nargles who had hidden my sock needles last week. Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say howdy. Now back down to the Snake Pit to keep knitting the socks.

Waiting for perfect color yarn

Hello all I have picked the pattern for my pals socks and I am waiting to here from Orianna for the perfect color of yarn.

This has been a busy week and I haven't done any blogging. I am trying to finish a Noro Wave scarf using the Noro Silk Garden sock yarn.

i know i know im a gryffindor and proud of it but, i did a swap with a harry potter crafting group where we had to make 15 of a small handcrafted item that represented your favorite wizarding family and 15 other people did the same and we swapped. so we got 15 items in return too. yay! aaaaaaaanywho i thought you guys might like to see what i made. i also have directions and downloadable stuff to make your own. they are butterbeer mug charms and my family was the lovegoods. they are just soooooo wierd. i love it! here is a link to my blog post http://tinyurl.com/4a45f8

Knitting Buddies

Recently the lovely allitrya spelling created her Hogwarts Meez. She also expressed a concern about the loneliness of her Meez self and wished that her Meez self and my Meez self could visit each other on our blogs so I decided they should meet in the middle! Now they shall knit and chat all day long!
